Corpsman. Flight paramedic. ER nurse. Physician. Diver.
My medical career began in 1994 with EMT-Basic training, which led to a Paramedic license and 911 emergency services across Southern California and Nevada. I served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman attached to a U.S. Marine Corps platoon, and flew as a crew member on a rescue helicopter responding to medical emergencies and trauma in Southern Nevada.
While working as a flight paramedic I earned my Registered Nurse degree and moved into hospital-based emergency care, later working as a rounding nurse for an Intensivist and Hospitalist group across multiple Southern Nevada hospitals — experience that taught me the "why" behind medical decision-making from the inside.
That foundation took me to medical school. I graduated in 2014, completed a residency in Rural Family Medicine as Chief Resident, and earned Board Certification in 2018. Since then I've practiced across the Emergency Department, hospitalist medicine, urgent care, and beyond.
I live in Corpus Christi, Texas. I'm an avid water enthusiast and scuba diver — certified Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Nitrox, and Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR). Dive medicine isn't a sideline for me; it's where my profession and my passion meet.
